  Known to be “The Birthplace of Aviation,” Ohio celebrates its stronghold in the world of flight and the likes of the Wright brothers who put it there. Born in Dayton, Orville and Wilbur Wright are credited as the first people to successfully build a working airplane.
  
  Since 1974, the Vectren Dayton Air Show has celebrated the state as an aviation epicenter through these first-in-flight brothers, modern-day aerobatic champions and military jet flyers, among many others.
